Coaching for leaders
under pressure
Decision fatigue, constant availability, the sense of no longer meeting your own standards. This coaching starts before that becomes something which needs to be treated.
What this is about
Leading means making decisions whose consequences other people carry. Anyone who does that for long knows the states in between: turning things over after hours, conflicts that will not resolve, a calendar with no gap left, and eventually the question of whether your own exhaustion is still normal.
In this coaching we work on exactly those questions: your role, your decisions, and what you are willing to carry. One to one, no group, no off-the-shelf programme.
What you discuss in coaching stays confidential. As a psychotherapist I am used to professional secrecy, and it applies here just the same.
Coaching is not psychotherapy
This is not a formality; it is the reason I keep the two apart. Coaching works on questions of work and assumes you are able to act. Psychotherapy treats illness. The two do not belong in the same hour or in the same working relationship: anyone in coaching with me will not become my patient. Personal background and personal themes naturally have their place in coaching.
If it becomes clear during coaching that treatment is needed, I say so and refer on. Being able to tell the difference is the real reason my training matters here.
Formats
Clarity
Five sessions online. For one defined question: a decision, a conflict, a role that no longer fits.
Realignment
Ten sessions online plus one on-site intensive day in the Allgäu. For changes that need longer than a quarter.
For organisations
Framework agreement covering several leaders. The organisation receives no reports on individuals, only confirmation that the agreed sessions took place.
Everything starts with an introductory conversation. Its purpose is to find out whether we want to work together and whether coaching is the right thing for your question at all.
All formats and the initial consultation on request.
Who you will be working with
I am a psychologist (Dipl.-Psych., University of Würzburg, 2000) and a state-licensed psychological psychotherapist specialising in behavioural therapy (licensed 2011). In private practice since 2008. Over 26 years of clinical experience in individual, couples and group therapy; I have worked with people since 1996.
At the Adula Clinic in Oberstdorf (2000 to 2008) I first served as quality officer, responsible for research and psychodiagnostics, and from 2001 as a primary group and individual psychotherapist and additionally as continuing-education officer. From 2012 to 2015 I was a primary group and individual psychotherapist at the HELIOS private clinic in Bad Grönenbach.
For work with executives, three things matter most: my training as a social skills group trainer (GSK, 1999), my own seminar series since 2005, and my leadership-related roles at the Adula Clinic.
FOCUS Health Recommendation 2023, 2025 and 2026 for psychotherapy, an independent distinction.
